I plan to make a trip to the Philippines around the fall, or possibly December of ‘07. this will give me an opportunity to do a little research. I obviously will arrive in Manila. One must stop, is to visit a Filipina I know in Zamboanga City on Mindanao. I will try to visit Dumaguete City as as this is a point of interest for possible retirement there. And I would like to see a few of the cooler climate areas there. To see Cebu would be nice also. Anyway, I really would like to gain Philippine Citizenship. If I can achieve dual citizenship the better, but I feel I would even resign my US citizenship if necessary and visit my family here in the US on a green card. So what does it take to gain Philippine citizenship? I may end up marrying my little Filipina friend there as it would be nice to marry a beautiful Filipina lady anyway, though not for the Philippine citizenship. It would be a nice bonus if it increased the odds. So, how do I get it? Comments & ideas from Filipinas welcome.
